Women in Archaeology
Women are a particular interest of mine. Probably because I am one, and because I wasn’t raised to be a pretty-pretty Princess, I am aware of the difficulties women have in the world. This page is a way for me to give back to the history of women and to acknowledged the giants who’s shoulders support me.
Some of the women listed here you will know, some you wont. Some are still alive, some have passed on. I wont be re-posting Wikipeida articles. These will be my own work, my own reserch, and yes, my own words.
I hope you will take the time and browse though the links here and read up on the women who made archaeology more then just a novelty pastime of the rich. These women have contributed to my field in great and small ways, and each has moved the field forward.
Enjoy!
